Kathy’s broad range of experience enables her to see both sides of a dispute and help the parties to fashion a mutually acceptable resolution in lieu of costly, time-consuming, and uncertain litigation. She is a trained mediator and can offer both facilitative and evaluative styles of mediation depending on the needs of the parties. Her professional, objective style of mediation, along with her dedication and tenacity to reach a resolution makes her an extremely effective mediator. Kathy remains highly alert to the needs of the parties, knowing what questions to ask and knowing how to evaluate the value and veracity of the information provided. She is attentive to the interests and personalities of the parties, knowing when press a little harder and when to take a break. She constantly watches the verbal and nonverbal communications of the parties with an eye to getting the case resolved.

Kathy serves on the mediation panel for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. She was trained as a mediator at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution affiliated with Pepperdine Law School.
Kathy also serves as a mediation consultant, advising clients about the mediation process and its benefits, and assisting them in both pre-mediation preparation as well as the mediation itself to reach the best possible outcome.
